THE Pacific Conference of Churches will issue a strongly worded statement on the issue of nuclear weapons, testing and development this week.<\/p>\n

A joint PCC-World Council of Churches team was to have visited Kiritimati Atoll in Kiribati this week but plans were scrapped due to travel restrictions put in place after the Corona Virus.<\/p>\n

Now the PCC will address a Select Committee of Fiji’s Parliament on behalf of civil society.<\/p>\n

The PCC and Pacific churches have been at the forefront of the battle against nuclear testing since the 1960s.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
